Ivan Doroschuk, is an American-born Canadian musician of Ukrainian origin. He is the lead vocalist and founding member of Men Without Hats. Doroschuk was born on October 9, 1961 in the U.S. state of Illinois and at a young age he and his family moved to Canada, settling in the city of Montreal, Quebec, where his mother became a member of the music faculty at Montreal's McGill University. Ivan is the eldest of three brothers, followed by Colin then Stefan.
Doroschuk is a stay-at-home father and resides in Victoria, British Columbia.

The Spell was Doroschuk's only solo album. It was made in 1997. Two singles and music videos released from the album were "Open Your Eyes" and "Super Bad Girls".[1]
Doroschuk was planning to release a second solo album titled Mote in God's Eye around 2000. A few songs were demoed and later uploaded to YouTube with his permission. These songs include:
